This weekend my friends showed me a side of Venice, California I've never experienced. I mean I've been to Venice Beach numerous times but I'd never seen the quaint & peaceful canals behind the hustle & bustle of the main streets. From Venice in the daytime to the Santa Monica pier at night I got some really great shots. It was fun & pretty awkward being the center of attention taking pictures all on the pier on a busy Saturday night. I decided to go for a casual kind of look because I wanted my outfit to match the chill, California beach vibe, I also wanted my photos to reflect the beauty of the day which is kinda why with this post my pictures are less me & my outfit & more sharing a part of my life. It's time to start sharing more of who I am as a person & what I love to do because aside from my obvious great sense of style I live in a amazing city with equally amazing friends.

Love your California girl vibe:) and the locations you choose. The canals are so great, I just saw them for the first time last September. Almost a year ago!

Eeek! I have that top in red! :-) I'm planning on wearing it with a high waisted red, orange and black mosaic midi skirt. I might try it with some shorts too.
